Default what to flavor tea with?

I don't mind the two major brands of SF syrup but they are a bit on the wimpy
side in flavor. if I use enough to get a good flavor it's too sweet. I only want
just a hint of sweetness but a decent say raspberry flavor. any idea's? I have
to give up diet pop as the acid is killing my guts.

I use Spenda as a sugar substitute. But I hardly ever use it. I'm more
into fresh meats and vegetables, and don't care about the "frankenfoods"
that much. I eat well, live well, and don't care too much about any of the
"substitutes". Since I have lost a lot of weight by going with the basics,
now and then I just plain eat what I want without having to deal with a
low-carb substitute. If I want french fries or ice cream, I'm going for the
real thing.

Most of the time, though, I'll be eating soup, meat and fish, and low-carb
veggies. That's just my lifestyle, and it works for me.

0 carb Extracts.

And add Splenda to taste.

You find extracts in the spice aisle of your supermarket.

cool that will work. I never found any extracts in the store in the flavors I
wanted.

How about a squeeze of lime or lemon, the real thing not the bottled kind,
with just enough Splenda to sweeten it to your liking? DH likes his tea
using ¾ of the amount compared to the sugar I used to put in it.

Have you ever tried Rooibos? It's got a unique smooth flavor, and you
won't need to add a sweetener. It comes as original, or blended with
vanilla, or some other flavors as well. It's naturally caffeine free, and is
mild on the stomach. I buy it in a local tea shop. It is actually ground up
and fermented bush, so it looks more like slivers rather than leaves. Comes
from South Africa. Prices are similar to other loose leaf teas, at around
$6(Can.) per 100 grams(4 oz.).

I'd suggest you buy flavored tea to start out with. Celestial
Seasonings Raspberry Zinger, Country Peach Passion, Mandarin Orange
Spice come to mind as some of my favorites. They don't even need
sweetener at all, imo.
