Default Exercise/Calorie question

Besides aerobics, what one exercise burns the most calories in LEAST amount
of time?

Preferably a floor exercise... or does walking (treadmill) burn more than
any floor exercise does?

I'm pretty overweight and cannot do aerobics so this is why I ruled that
out. I have very limited time to exercise, so I"m looking for the best for
fastest burn.

Thanks for any answers.

Default Exercise/Calorie question

I have time for about 30-40 minutes of exercise per day whether walking at
lunch or on my treadmill at night. I work 10+ hour days, then I have
committee meetings after work and travel and business dinners. I just do
not have time on a regular basis for much exercise in quantity as you
suggest. I surely have no time for 1-1.5 hours of walking, there is just no
way. That is why I asked what I could accomplish a 30-40 min timespan that
would be most beneficial to burn calories.

Also, having said that... I am the one who recently asked about Curves and
if it was beneficial. I was interested in it because Curves is 30 minutes
and I believe only 3 times per week. I haven't seriously looked into that,
I do have a stationary bike, glider and treadmill at home and a regimen of
using those three machines for 30-40 min a day just isn't showing me any
weight loss and I only have an average of 1200 calories a day except for a
weekly business meeting when I still try to watch but I probably do go 2000
that one day.

Well you are a wealth of wisdom, I and everyone else surely could have done
with your response. At least I am making SOME effort to find SOME time
every day to exercise. Excuse me troll.

LOL!!!!!!
Yea JayJay, ya damned TROLL - Don't you know anything about making an
effort to exercise? LOL

Ahhhh.. wunnerful... this was the laugh I needed after a
monster/emotional day.. Thanks

Cammie, no disrespect meant.. but JayJay is not a troll. In fact she is
a well respected poster here to asd and she is likely one of the most
adamant folks who post here about getting off your duff and taking TIME
to improve yourself through exercising. You'd do well to take some
advice.

Default Exercise/Calorie question

my god I ask for some simple advise and I get people who do not know me,
critisizing me. I am a New York lawyer with a large lawfirm and you
obviously have no idea what 10 and sometimes 14 hour days are like and the
money is very damn good or I wouldn't be doing it. Thanks for the support
in telling me that even though I am trying hard to do 30-40 minutes every
single day to exercise, will just assure me to stay fast. Thanks a lot for
the vote of confidence people. And I keep a weekly schedule of every single
thing that goes into my mouth, that is how I know I do 1200 on average with
2000 occasionally... you people talk to me like I'm stupid and beneath you.
Sorry I asked.

See my other post explaining my disgust with simply asking for some advise.
And also to "Ignoramus7651" I dont watch TV, I dont have time to and dont
tell me to get a new job, I probably make more in a few months than you make
in a year. So much for a little simple advise, I'm sorry I bothered here.

Default Exercise/Calorie question

It seems to me what we have here are some people who have lost some weight
who either 1) have egos about it or 2) think they are the authority on
everything. I thought I was asking for some simple laid back advise at
possibly a friendly NG but I got criticized and judged and no help what so
ever.

Cammie... I highly recommend Curves. It is low impact and geared toward
women that have less then perfect bodies. The workout is just 30 minutes
and you obtain benefit from going 3x a week... I go there and I love it. I
lost 13 total inches my first month....
