More on multi (vitamins that is)
I was reading through that thread about multivitamins.
I recently picked up a $10 or so multivitamin. This is the most I will personally spend for a multi. It is a three month supply (once a day, 90 pills in total) that is sold by a local drug store here. Now, I asked the pharmacist what the difference between the Wal-Mart equate type brands and the one a day for men types are. She informed me that the main differences are the counts of vitamins and minerals in the vitamins, and that those doing a ketogenic diet (I told her how I eat) would be better going with the more complete vitamin. The differences in the amounts of vitamins and minerals on the label seems pretty significant, and it would appear that by paying a few dollars more (which breaks down to literally pennies a day in the long term), you get more bang for your buck, so to speak. This is just my observation, and I thought I would post on it here. I am making a new thread because I have nothing really to add to the other one. |
