I need to add this to my list of "places to ride bikes". It looks like
you
have some nice trails in the area.

Something tells me you'd like the original Holland too. As I'm sure
you know, it's about the most bike-friendly country on this planet.
We took our bikes when we went on a camping trip round the whole
country, and there are just miles and miles of cycle tracks. This
compares very well to Britain, where they are very poor despite some
efforts having been made in recent years.

But the difference in Holland is that cycling is in the culture, which
means things that happen here, like motorists parking on roadside
cycle tracks, are not "acceptable". I guess I'm lucky it's only a
short ferry journey - just talking about it makes me want to go again.

Umm, Janice, that was Holland, Michigan...

Jenn

Well...yes, I knew that. That's why I referred to the "original"
Holland in the first sentence of my message, and said "too" meaning in
addition to the one referred to in the original post.

Or have I goofed - was there a Holland, Michigan before the
Netherlands were there? I just assume most names in Europe predate
those given by settlers in the US.

This is getting too complicated for me

Whoops! My mistake! That's what I get for trying to read usenet at 6AM
My apologies!

Well if that's your guide, you're clear for the next decade or two.
