Soooo excited! I've found out I've got a place for next year's London
Marathon (April 22). It's a charity place for St John Ambulance (volunteer
ambulance service in case it's not in the States) and I'm running in memory
of my Dad who died in January and was a member for 50 years. I'm so
thrilled. I just keep imagining crossing that finish line!

Congratulations Rachael. This is exciting news. Enjoy the race!

I know you currently run but will this be your first marathon? What
are you training plans?

Yes my first marathon. I've done several halfs and a 16 mile race. And
I've done 24m in training. Until Christmas I'm going to try to get my
weekly mileage up a bit (currently about 30m and would like it to be nearer
40). Then January 7 I start my main training plan which I shall do with
Runners World. I'm going to do the sub 4 hour plan to keep my miles up but
I realistically hope to manage sub 4.30.

Thanks for the congrats!
