Default The New Rules of Lifting

I've been trying a new weightifting plan suggested by the following:

http://www.amazon.com/New-Rules-Lift.../dp/1583332383

I like the routines in this book. I find them challenging, even
aerobically so, but without too many isolation exercises. As a former
"body builder", I also think that I tended to perform too many isolation
exercises (though I did perform squats, stiff legged deadlifts, bench
press, etc.). I personally find the routines in the above-referenced book
to be refreshingly lacking in isolation exercises. I also realize now how
poorly I was training my trunk muscles (abs, etc.).

So, I recommend the exercise routines in this book (but not necessarily
anything else, including the low-fat dogma, in the book).

Allwyn Cosgrove contributes to Men's Health. You can find a lot of
Cosgrove stuff in their pages. This is how I've been working out for
the most part, since December. Have enjoyed the results, particularly
the changes to body composition.

-Hollywood, who reduced his keg to a 2 pack with a small keg
underneath, and shall see where further work leads.

It's good to know that these techniques work. Preferably, I'll also be
losing some weight with them (and biking).
