I've been eating half a grapefruit three times a day after each meal,
plus sometimes for an extra snack. I carefully cut off the rind,
leaving as much white pith as possible and eat it like an orange. It's
weird. My experience has been that, so long as I keep grapefruit in my
system, it absolutely dampens the desire to even *think* about food,
not just hunger and cravings, but the inclination...

I did read online that lots of grapefruit can adversely affect
medications, however. Something in them causes some medications to be
much stronger, particularly beta blockers.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this? I suspect
that the most important factor is in the white pith because grapefruit
juice alone doesn't seem quite as effective.
