Default My Diet Progress

Hi Jean.
Yes, I think taking it nice and easy is the best way.
I started doing the Tamilee DVD, "I want that body" which incorporates "I
want those arms", I wants those ABS" and "I want those buns". I LOVE IT! I
can hardly get through phase 1 though. It takes time but Rome wasn't built
in a day! :-)

Good job Check! I have slow metabolism too. Probably from all those
starvation diets. I am small also. 5'4'' and I've only lost 6 pounds now
in a about 5 weeks. Only 2 pounds lost during induction. I only have 4
more to go and it's tough when you get down to the last little bit. Then
the next challenge is to tighten up those muscles! Keep going. WE CAN DO
IT!

Yup. Lots of us in the same boat. I am 5'1". I have lost 27
pounds since August, but I have deliberately slowed down and
practically stopped losing weight since December because I am
hoping my skin will get into a bit better shape. (I am 54.) I am
going to do this as slowly as possible now....

And yes, nice job!

Yup. I need to exercise more and step up my activity level in
general. I want to lose any additional weight (5 to 10 pounds, I
think) VERY slowly. This Rome took a while to build, and it is
only reasonable for it to take a while to disappear. g

I don't mind you asking at all! In fact you can ask me anything you want if
it will be of any help to you. I am 55, 5'4" and started LCing 1-9-04 at
130 lbs. I am very small boned and that was way too much weight for me. I
weighed 117/118 up until I was 50 and then started putting the pounds on due
to a life style change. I only lost 2 pounds at the beginning of induction
and stayed there the entire first two weeks. Disappointing! I then
realized that calories did indeed matter and I started watching both
calories AND carbs and entering everything I ate into FitDay software and
that helped a lot. I am now at 124 lbs. and want to lose 4 more. I don't
really need to get back down to 117. 120 is fine for my age now. I do
however want to get my muscle tone back though.

Are you weight training while dieting? I must admit, weight training
and LC aren't the greatest of combination especially when my whole
body (muscle + liver) is fully depleted of carbs.

It's been slow but as
others have said, it the best way. I want to eat in a healthier way too. I
was eating to many carbs I now realize. One of my favorite meals was a cold
bowl of cereal with non-fat milk and a banana! WHOA! Sometimes I would
have that for breakfast AND dinner! I went through a horrible first week of
induction feeling every symptom reported and then some. But I feel GREAT
now. Good luck to you. You look fabulous!

I still eat carbs on weekends, which explains why my weight-loss has
been fairly slow. I just couldn't stop eating carbs altogether mainly
due to psychological reasons. I think I've been successful so far
because I haven't been too anal with my diet. Although I do keep a
food journal which is considered obsessive compulsive behaviour by my
friends. :-)

Once I get this weigh off I am going to buy me a pair of them there
boobies Girl Friend ROFL. We just sold lots of property after my MIL
died. I dont want a new house. DH told me I could get the tummy tuck
and boob job. You know I could do the Gastric Surgery nopw and pay the
25 thousand out of my own pocket since insurance rarely covers it but
I cant do both. My vain side says "I know I can do the LC thing and
lose as I

Whoa boob job! My cousin wants one too, and I think she's seriously
contemplating of getting them if she ever gets $5000 to spare. See
how you go with LCing first. If anything, it will instill good diet
habits. I know that I automatically eat much, much less carbs now than
I used to before I was introduced to the Atkins diet. E.g. I have
cheat days, yet I still eat considerably less carbs on those days even
when I allow myself to pig out on anything. My body just couldn't
hack too much carbs anymore - and I'm glad!

I really wonder why you couldn't get onto C-K-D.com. Have you tried another
browser? Or another internet connection maybe..? I uploaded them on to
http://photos.yahoo.com/realitycheck0523.

checked my settings and tried on 3 computers.

I was able to get to them today. I haven't changed anything since I
last tried.

Great progress! Keep up the good work.

You must be doing it wrong.
