Default Atkins Endulge Peanut Butter Cups

"small" amounts probably won't harm you...they actually taste quite well.

Hi all, I was a regular reader of this newsgroup (lurker) up until a
couple of months ago when we were told at work that we are no longer
allowed to access newsgroups...anyway, I used to spend my lunch reading
through...but have been lazy at home and so haven't been here for quite
awhile...( but I have lost 25 lbs. in 5 months)..

Anyway, I saw these today at a store in the mall, and so I bought a pack
(3 PB cups) and ate them after lunch....WELL, 3 hours later, I thought
I was going to die...I have been on the toilet since, with the worst
case of the runs I can ever remember! I actually could not leave the
toilet for an hour!!! So, I came to this group and just got the lowdown
on Sugar Alcohols. Thanks. I also just looked at the Atkins site and
there is warning on these Cups that says: "This rich delicious taste of
this chocolate should be enjoyed responsibly. Indulge wisely, for those
sensitive to sugar alcohols and their laxative effects, limit
consumption to 1-2 packages/day." I think I would be on the toilet all
night if I had had 2 packages. That was my first Atkins product ever,
I've never even tried one of the Advantage bars. I use the EAS
Advantage Carb Control Protein bars and shakes, and have had no problems
with them. I am still in pain as I sit here with stomach cramps and the
feeling of going to have to "run" again! Lesson learned: Remember to
frequent this newsgroup!!! :-)

Yes, I am REALLY happy that I only bought some items with sugar
alcohols, thinking I might try them someday. Now I might as well
pitch them. Might be useful as a laxative (although they seem to
be unpleasant even in THAT regard), but otherwise a no-win
situation.
