Default Amount possible to lose each week?

If I have a BMR of 1300 and eat less than 500 calories a day [usually
more around 300] how much weight can I lose and how quickly can I lose
it?

You will lose approximately all of your body weight in a matter of just a
couple months.

That's pretty funny.

It seems like that is exactly what some people
want to do (lose all of their bodyweight).

"VLCDs and low-calorie diets with an average intake between 400 and 800
kcal do not differ in body weight loss." and "Recently, many centers
modified their VLCD formulas to contain more calories. Studies have
shown that weight loss is about as good on 800 as on 400 to 500
calories a day, and there are probably fewer risks."

As there are no proven health or weight loss benefits to reducing your
caloric intake below 800 calories/day, you're just increasing your risk
of painful medical complications and possibly death.

If you still want to go ahead with your diet, this may help:

And most of the weight loss will be muscle - most weight gained back
will be fat most likely leaving the OP with a higher body fat
percentage.

Depends on how quickly you end up in the hospital or the morgue.

Avalanche, did you decide on a diet plan? I hope it's going well.

BMR means Base or Basal Metabolic Rate and is the number of calories
your body needs to just live and breath.
http://www.hussmanfitness.org/html/TLRagingMetab.html
Eating less than that is not the way to go as your body will not favor
your fatloss for very long as it will soon perceive you are starving it
and will do everything it can to preserve itself. Its like the hampster
syndrome, more and more running on a wheel while eating less your body
soon adapts to what you give it and stores bodyfat while eating away
any muscles you have.

Gosh I thought people were smarter than this - never ceases to amaze me
how little people know about dieting/calories/exercise and the human
body.
