E you are the best, Lee
Eddie-Type2 wrote in message ... I've been refraining from replying to any of your previous postings, but in this case I will make and exception. I thought you might find this a good opportunity to take another poke at everyone in this NG, but now your being absolutely silly without know the full facts of the entire situation. It was my daughter's birthday and my birthday - they only come once a year. Although you might be sitting there thinking that I stuffed myself with cake, well let me tell you that you are totally wrong. I allowed for a 3oz piece of my cake and my daughter's cake - do you know what 3oz of cake looks like? I most likely won't have any cake for another year now. As far as treats go, yes I had a tiny little plain vanilla cone from Dairy Queen. Have you ever seen a junior cone (usually for a little baby) from Dairy Queen? I could have had a large dipped cone or a peanut buster parfait or some other over indulgent offering - but I didn't! What you need to realize is that you cannot paint me with your brush - I didn't go up this week because of treats! I went up this week because of eating too much (going over my point allowance). I am an extremely healthy eater and I don't care much at all for junk or treats or cakes, etc.......but I do like to eat good food. Some people's metabolisms are just very slow which means that they need to either increase exercise or decrease calorie intake or both. Weight loss is not all about staying away from "treats" as you keep hounding in every post. Did you ever consider that maybe the other contributing factor to my gain this week was that maybe all I really needed was a good ****???!!!!!! Constipation will also make you go up the scale too you know! Eddie Weight June05-359lbs Current Weight-282.2lbs Loss to date=76.8lbs Goal Weight-180lbs "George" wrote in message . com... Splurge, birthday, excuses, excuses ... we've heard it all before. WW encourages its members to eat cakes, junk food, etc. as "treats". That's how it keeps members for years, and they never achieve normal weight in the end. The human body is capable of safely losing 5-10 lbs of fat a week. Cut the junk food completely and watch the pounds come off. No need for excuses. "Eddie-Type2" wrote in message ... Hi All, I think I celebrated too much last week having hit my 75 lbs loss goal !!!! When I left my meeting on Friday night, I knew I was going to splurge a little but still try to stay within my points. First thing I did was go home and then wrote out my plan for the next 3 days! Monday was my daughter's Birthday. Wednesday was my Birthday. Here's how my week went..........I went up 1.4lbs but no surprise, I knew I would - but planning ahead helped me keep things under control - it could have been much, much worse......!!!! Think about it......we ate at a buffet on Friday for lunch. On Saturday we had prearranged to take my daughter and her friends to huge Chinese/Mandarin Buffet - but I ate only crab legs and stayed away form everything else!........well, I had some fruit and sorbet for dessert ;^) On Sunday - we had my family over for barbecue and cake for my daughter. Then Monday - we had my wife's family over for cake for my daughter. Wednesday was my birthday and we decided at the last minute to go out for surf n turf but unfortunately the bruschetta bread came out with cheese on it and I indulged a bit Yesterday we went out for lunch and I ate Canadian (peamale) bacon, eggs, homefries and toast and during the week we went through Dairy Queen's drive thru 4 times!!!! but I only had a junior plain cone, while everyone else got a medium chocolate dipped!!! Oh I almost forget our usual Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast - we've been doing this for approx. 20 years now and we always go out and I eat Canadian (peamale) bacon and eggs, homefries and toast.........been doing all along and didn't stop just because I joined WW..........I just count the points and plan around it. I'd say given the amount of eating out this week and party's and stuff, I think got off pretty lucky this week by only going up 1.4 lbs.- wouldn't you agree? LOL!!!! Believe it or not, planning ahead really helped me keep things under control - it could have been much worse. This week will be much better - I lost the battle this week, but I'm still remaining positive and upbeat. In case anyone noticed............I'm not changing my signature this week because I know I will get back down this week..........hehehe Eddie Weight June05-359lbs Current Weight-282.2lbs Loss to date=76.8lbs Goal Weight-180lbs |
