Quick Question
I am really struggling through the induction phase, and it didn't make
it any better when I found out that the Chicken Breast Strips I ate from Jack in the Box weren't low in carbs (36 grams per serving!). I understand that it takes approximately two days for your carb reserves to wear out during induction and for ketosis to begin. I was planning on staying under 15 grams a day starting today but unfortunately that is not going to happen. Also, any advice on limits of calories or fat would be helpful. I was thinking of 1500 calories a day and maybe 30% of that from fat. Anything regarding induction and what has helped you would be of great help to me. Thanks, tmb |

Thanks, tmb Someone here recently posted that if you take your weight and multiply it by 10 or 12, then that's the number of calories you amy consume on a daily basis. I thought it sounded fairly reasonable. I believe that during induction, your calories from fat should be in the 60 - 70% range. Hopefully someone else will check me on that one.... Sandy K. |
