Well I really thought I would achieve my 10% today. I only missed it
by 200g last week, but no it wasn't to be, I stayed the same :-(
I was really well on program too. After a big dinner party on Saturday
night where I did well on choices and portion control I banked the
excess points for the next few days. This week will be difficult,
with my MIL 70th birthday on Thursday and mine on Friday. 2 special
dinners. Good thing is with the MIL visiting we are doing quite a lot
of walking. I hope to stay the same for the next week all things
considered.

Stress, even from happy events, really taxes the system. You did really well
at maintaining. But look at the positive language you used - you made good
choices, and used portion control. That is a great victory! Enjoy the
birthday celebrations - you deserve to have fun!

Thanks Wendy, I am looking to my MIL birthday an mine, we are
celebrating by going up the Jungfraujoch in Switzerland, a very high
mountain with incredible views and loads of snow. Champagne of course
as the MIL will be 70, i really admire her from braving this trip on
her own, ( ok she was taken to the airport and we picked her up at
this end but still) We did some gentle walking in the emmental Valley
today along the river ( about 2km) for an "old girl" with 2
artificial hips and 1 artificial knee she did really well. I am proud
of her.

Well congratulations anyway for maintaining & sorry you didn't make your
10% but you should do it this week. Wish you luck.

How frustrating, but still, think of it as a great maintenance practice! And
it 's great to read you did so well at the dinner party. You will do the
same this week, and I 'm predicting a great loss for you next week!

The 10% goal will come, just keep making good choices and exercising
portion control. All that walking sounds lovely.

Thanks Elaine, it would have been nice but a maintain is better than a
gain anytime.

Thanks Nathalie, I am aiming for a maintain this week, with MIL
visiting and 2 birthday dinners, not sure my resolve will hold up to
that. MIL will be 70 today so we are off to a Butterfly House, some
walking but slow.

Thanks PR, I know I will get my 10% but I was kind of hoping for this
week. The walking is slow but better than nothing, maybe I can do my
exercise bike in the ams as well.
