Today is DH's birthday so we went out for dinner. This was the first time
out since I began my new WOE (aside from a couple of take-out lunches from
the cafe near work). Most of the vegetarian choices were loaded with

cheese
or heavy sauce so I opted for the spaghetti with tomato sauce and a smidge
of parmesan. I normally would have ordered the fettucine alfredo with
grilled veggies and cheese. It was a little bit boring, but I was
determined to stay below my calorie limit. I realized after they brought
the salad that I should have asked for dressing on the side. Had a few
small pieces of the fresh bread. I skipped dessert even though it was a
special occasion. I don't have much of a sweet tooth and don't normally
order dessert anyway.

I am guessing on amounts, but I'm pretty sure that I did manage to stay
within my limit. Even so, I think next time I might find a place with

some
healthier not-so-boring choices.

Congratulations Willow. It sounds like you handled the eating out very
well. You'll find it becomes easier as you go along to make healthy
choices.

Good going on making better choices than you normally might. That's what
it's all about.
