And like a whole bunch of other flawed studies, "carbs" in this case
included white flour, white sugar, donuts, cake, cookies, chips..... Junk
science.
A low fat, high complex carb, (which makes high fiber naturally), diet is
protective against all kinds of cancer because it keeps blood insulin stable
and protects against the estrogenic properties of high fat consumption in
women....
I just love people who parrot flawed junk science results.

As I mention in my book, grains were the first known carcinogen. In
1843 it was discovered at The U of Paris Medical School that
epidemological cancer rates mirrored per-capita grain consumption
everywhere such data was available. The relationship between grain
and cancer was thus 120 years more mathmatically obvious than that of
cancer and tobacco.

The reason for this was only discovered in Sweden when in 2002 foods
were tested for acrylamides. Levels in bread were found to exceed
those considered a cancer risk by 300 times.

This makes a single slice of bread a far more likely source of cancer
than a cigarette. It is also the first known discovery of a
carcinogen that predicts epidemological cancer rates ( again). All
other known causes of cancer are but mere statistical noise in
comparison.

Acrylamides are also found in potato products, french fried potatoes
being even worse than bread. ( try a pubmed search for details from
peer-reviewed medical journals).

When can we expect warning label, such as found on cigarette packs, on
such products? When can we expect full disclosure from Frito-Lay and
other multi-nationals about the testing they're doing now on
acrylamides?

Try a pubmed or google search on Acrylamides for the truth about
carbs. High fiber content is irrelevent in comparision.

Roach, Mary,
"Advice from the World's Biggest Weight Experts: Their Gain Can Be
Your Loss."
Health (March/April 1993) 62-72.
Describes the traditional, low-fat, high carb diet of Japanese sumo wrestlers.

Centuries old traditions of diet and exercise have shown the results.

Have you ever seen Dean Ornish in a thong?
Ever seen a picture of John Harvey Kellogg, inventor of the low fat
diet and exercise program your doctor recommends. His foundation is
worth in excess of $12 billion - earned by selling high carbohydrate
breakfast foods (i.e. corn flakes) to children. He was also the first
to show that if one fed corn kibble to wolves instead of meat they
became autistic. Dog food manufacturers and pediatric neurologists
have been forever grateful for the profits he generated.

Sorry Ray, my own health and success, is a far greater motivator than
anything said online. Your citation of a bunch more junk science is not
interesting. I shall go back to ignoring you, and the rest of the folk out
there who think one diet fits all, which is such total bull.

Your book is wrong
and a quick serach on google will settle the arguement. You are not
even close.
