I Have Sinned (I ate a peach)
Gee, this must be one of the few places and circumstances where I
would feel like I have sinned because I ate a peach. But I did eat it, and I do feel a bit guilty. It wasn't even ethereal. That is the first big piece of fruit I have had since I started this WOE ca the beginning of August. Other than that I have just had a few blueberries and raspberries. Otherwise for lunch I tried making a pizza-type thing using a portobello mushroom as a crust. (I either read about that here or on some LC list.) That was decent, but not as good as the "pizza" made with the nuked cheese instead of the crust. The mushroom made the overall flavor less pronounced. -- Jean B., 12 miles west of Boston, Massachusetts, USA |

It could have been worse, you could have made the pizza with an empty calorie, next to no nutrient crust. Just watch your carbs for the rest of the day. -- Jeri 265/189/120 Atkins since 11/5/01 "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right." |

I don't know if I regret it or not. As I said, it wasn't ethereal. But then if it had been, maybe I'd want another.... -- Jean B., 12 miles west of Boston, Massachusetts, USA |

Hey, peaches are a pretty LC choice as fruits go. You are allowed fresh
peach slices from day one of the Protein Power plan. Debbie "Jean B." wrote in message ... Gee, this must be one of the few places and circumstances where I would feel like I have sinned because I ate a peach. But I did eat it, and I do feel a bit guilty. |

So you dared to eat a peach -- at least you didn't part your hair behind, or wear white flannel trousers, or walk upon the beach -- now that would have been bad! -- nimue "Because the thing about the Nerds, what made them so appealing, was that not only are they underdogs, they are underdogs who accept other underdogs unconditionally. I've been eating peaches all summer. They're not a food, but a sensual experience that feeds my soul. I also eat a lot of berries, but peaches must be a part of my summer. Susan wrote:
Why do you regret eating it, exactly? Sure was a better choice than a cookie, or a pretzel, a pretty good nutritional punch for a small handful of carbs. Oh, of course! I was speaking a bit tongue in cheek--but it is sort-of carby for me, and it was the first big piece of fruit I have eaten this summer.
