Question for Damsel
Can you please post the food counts for the entire recipe of your Chocolate
Brownie Cookies? I don't like walnuts and figured you had calculated them into the total/cookie. So I redid the entire recipe and came up with much different numbers. Thanks! ----- Bev |

So I redid the entire recipe and came up with much different numbers. I'm using MasterCook, so that's where the calculations came from. Here is is, ingredient by ingredient: almond flour: 47 carbs, 28 fiber Splenda: 18 carbs cocoa: 15 carbs, 8 fiber butter: 0 carbs eggs: 1 carb vanilla: 1 carb xanthan gum: 7 carbs, 7 fiber baking powder 2 carbs salt: 0 carbs walnuts: 8 carbs, 3 fiber MasterCook may have rounded a lot of things up or down, and the cumulative total may be off, but it should be close. (this is the only time I'll ever do this - it's very time-consuming) Hope this info helps, Carol |

Question for Damsel
Thanks, Carol. I appreciate your efforts. I know how time-consuming it is
since I'm doing it on all my favourite recipes too. :-) I get roughly the same numbers for the carbs and my net carbs come out to 1.2/cookie, but the calories come out to 84 instead of 48. on Sun, 18 Apr 2004 19:16:10 -0500, Damsel in dis Dress wrote: I'm using MasterCook, so that's where the calculations came from. Weird. When the tornado watch is over, I'll check out the calories for you. Carol |

I *knew* I should have included calories! almond flour: 1373 Splenda: 72 cocoa: 111 butter: 2032 (this was the problem - MasterCook didn't calculate sticks) I'll go further if necessary, but I think this is it! Posted below are the two chocolate cookie recipes, with corrections. Crash's cookies have less cocoa, more Splenda, and no nuts. Mine have more cocoa, less Splenda, almond extract, and walnuts. Both versions have one net carb. * Exported from MasterCook * Crash's Favorite Chocolate Cookies Recipe By amsel in dis Dress Serving Size : 48 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : cookies low-carb Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 1/2 cups almond flour 3/4 cup Splendaź granular 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa 10 ounces soft butter -- (2-1/2 sticks) 2 large eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 teaspoons xanthan gum -- (or guar gum) 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt Cream the almond flour, Splenda, and butter until well mixed.
