Default upside-down pizzas?

Do y'all think many pizzas could be made in an upside-down
fashion, by crisping the cheese component and adding the other
goodies atop that, perhaps anchoring them with a bit more cheese?

I mix typical pizza toppings together in layers, including some pizza sauce
and nuke them in a bowl until they start to brown. really great snack.

shredded mozzarella
pepperoni
pizza sauce
sometimes a slice of ham and/or provolone cheese
sausage
etc

Pizza. We usually order it once a week (delivered) to feed the 3 kids
and my hubby, and give me a break from cooking dinner every night.

Last night I made sure to make my baked (wild) salmon and my
broccoli/cheese side dish *before* the pizza arrived, and to eat them
first.

Then, I did what I've done several times: scooped all the topping (cheese,
veggies, ground beef) off one pizza slice and ate it, throwing the crust
down the disposal. The first time I did this, it killed me to "waste" the
crust that way. But I decided, better to waste a slab of pure carbs than
to ingest it. :-)

Sure, I do sort-of plain ones and pepperoni ones all the time too;
it's one of my favorite things to do when I can't figure out what
I want to eat for some meal. Last night I was looking at various
more interesting pizza recipes on crusts and started pondering how
they too could be done in this fashion--as long as they aren't
potato or garpe or something (and yes, I've seen recipes for
both).

That's a slightly different approach that also sounds
interesting. Thanks! I was reading an article about various
types of pizzas, and it occurred to me that these would be
interesting combos done without a crust--either with a cheese
crust, or now, as you point out, not even with that.

True. I suppose I could take that approach when my daughter wants
to go to the Italian restaurant in town. They'll love seeing a
stripped pizza, I'm sure, but I'll just have to harden myself
about that!

If you ask, they might have a low carb version. You never know until you
ask.

Hola,

Although I like to make pizzas and wraps made with cheese, if you
really miss the bread there are some LC Pizza Dough that are quite
good. Not to make pizza everyday but once in a while because even the
LC bread do have its Carbs.
