Default Eyeballing ingredient sizes

I made fauxtatoes last night and wanted two ounces of cream cheese. I
hauled out my three-pound brick of the stuff from the fridge, sliced
off a slab, then thought, "That looks a little too big" and cut a
piece off.

Then it occurred to me -- I got a digital food scale for my birthday.
D'oh! I don't have to eyeball it -- I can weigh the sucker!

Two ounces exactly.

Another side benefit of the low-carb lifestyle: knowing precisely how
much cream cheese makes up a two ounce chunk.

Exactly so. I just put a star on the chart next to your name for doing
so well.
