Glucosamine -- 3 week results
I want to know why the fu** this is cross posted all over the place??? How
rude! Martha " rosie" wrote in message ... Well, the real issue is that the knees are worn out due to running. So, the right thing to do is to repair the damage, if possible. It seems that glucosamine can do just that. i am a BIG BELIEVER in the use of glucosamine chondroitin, and use it daily with great success. i also have had to change my lifestyle to eliminate "jarring" exercise, and incorporate different forms of exercise. YOGA and WALKING have become regulars for me. rosie If I can repair that damage, then I would like to run because, first, I like it, and second, because it is a good exercise. As you know, I also walk daily and lift weights. But running would be a good addition to this. I am very used to running and it makes me feel better and improves my mood. i |

Yes, tried all of them. And, how about plain old body building? Great -- if you like prancing around on a stage, covered in oil, wearing a pair of speedos. Or doing the same in the privacy of your own bedroom. If you enjoy that sort of thing, more power to you. Some of us prefer running. Cheers, -- Donovan Rebbechi http://pegasus.rutgers.edu/~elflord/ |

Yes, tried all of them. I recently dropped my stress pulse rate under high intensity aerobic exercise 20 points. And, that was from doing the right kind of body building: moderate weight with a huge number of repetitions. Just thought that you might want to know. |

Plenty of people pay plenty of money to engage in plenty of that kind of activity in my gym. Ergo, it is neither boring nor uninteresting. Perhaps, it is your lack of results? The goal of participants in the sport of bodybuilding is to look good in a g-string, not to "drop stress pulse rates". So if your goal is to "drop stress pulse rate" (whatever the hell that means), you're not bodybuilding anymore. BTW, anecdotal evidence from usenet trolls doesn't prove sh*t. Glucosamine -- 3 week results
I have been using glucosamine for two years to assist with a tendon problem
in my wrist. As a consequence, the cracking noises that once came from most of my joints (years of abuse playing football.........) has disappeared. While my knees still suffer after running, changing my running style and cross-training has enabled me to continue running 3 times per week. The glucosamine has definitely helped me, but I doubt that it cures the problem. It does make it more manageable, which can give you a false sense of security, but as long as my body will cope I will keep running. Troy "John 'the Man'" wrote in message ... Our champion De-Medicalizing in sci.med.nutrition retorts, thusly ... i am a big believer (not always a follower) that we are to listen to our bodies. Rosie's concept of exercise is working out at the keyboard, daily. Just thought that you might want to know. |
