"Aramanth Dawe" wrote in message ... I need to be able sleep, first and foremost. My insomnia is rearing it's ugly head again (I know why, but that's not helping me get beyond the stress that is murdering sleep for me) and nothing, including prescription medication is helping me get beyond it. I'm alternating between no interest in food at all and wanting to stuff my face with carbs The two are related, you know - it's difficult to lose weight unless you're getting enough sleep. Not something to beat yourself up about, were you so inclined - not that I think you are, you seem a very level-headed kind of person : ) I hope the insomnia issue resolves soon. Thanks, Nicky. I realise that sleep problems and weight loss go hand in hand. In fact, I broke a 4 year long stall by finally being diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea - once that was treated (extremely simply, by raising the head of my bed somewhat) I began losing weight with ease. Then when my world fell apart in June and July of this year (long-termers to this list are well aware of why) and my sleep became very disturbed again. This week is especially hard as it should have been my late sister's birthday and wedding this weekend. I have spoken to my doctor (today, in fact) and he's authorised a stronger dose of my SSRI antidepressant to try and help me get beyond this as a temporary measure. I love having a doctor I can talk to! Thanks for the support. Aramanth |

Hi, I am a vegetarian and I am trying to lose weight. I am trying my best to go low carb however this is proving to be difficult since I don't want to eat meat of any type. What is a good structure for someone like me? Any ideas anyone? Thanks for any support. Tofu, Tempeh, lots of it. Do you do dairy/eggs? |
