Default Whooshes can come true!

Hi all, though I'm not actively tracking my pounds lost, I am tracking
how well my clothes fit and how my body looks and feels. I do have
quite a way to go before reaching my target waist size of 34" (I'm at
a 40" waist now, down from 42", lifetime high of 46"), but I am making
progress.

I was stalled at a tight 40" for quite some time on an almost
induction-like 30-40 grams of carb per day, now it's coming down
again. The secret? *NO ALCOHOL!!!* Though I was watching my food
intake, I was having several shots of vodka a day in an attempt to
keep up with my partner. Once he quit drinking, I stopped as well,
and the weight loss resumed, it's only been a week but I see a
noticable difference.

I know, I know, I should have been following the guidelines for a
low-carb diet and severely restricted my alcohol intake (body uses it
first), but I thought I knew better. BZZZZZT! Wrong answer. For now
I'm alcohol-free, in the future, once I see even more results, I may
enjoy the ocassional drink, but for now it's a zero-tolerance policy.

Wow -- can I use you for a mirror?

My sizes exactly. AND my goal waist size. AND I'm stuck at the same place!

I'll hate to give up my whisky and soda, but I'm game.

Thanks for the timely post.

Good for you, you will feel more awake as well. Congrats to both of you for
curbing the alcohol, not always easy.
