I have found the weight comes off faster for me if I only
sculpt
once a week. I do want is called cardio sculpt two to three
days a week.

Thanks.

No way d00d. Lori used the phrase "muscle mass is more dense then
(sic) fat" instead of the World of Fitness' Dumbest Phrase. (You
know the one - the one that drops the IQ of everyone within an 8
mile
radius whenever uttered). She ought to get at least a week's
obeisance on that. Maybe even a sig file in her honor.

Naw.

She actually thinks (if you can call it thinking), that a female is
going to put on enough muscle mass in a few short days to make a
difference
in overall weight. And how do you "sculpt" a muscle anyway?

Aargh! Is this going to turn into one of those god-awful threads from
MFW about what exercises hit what part of the pectoralis major?
Anyway, the first step is to get them lifting. That's the major
obstacle. Once that hurdle is crossed they'll probably see the light
concerning female bulking.

The point I addressed is that a female might thing she is doing fine if
she's under the mistaken assumption that she's adding muscle and that's why
her weight is not going down. In reality, the female probably needs to eat
less.

I figure that's what she was hinting at.

With a knife? Anyway, I know I'm not putting on enough muscle to mask fat
loss on the scale, since my measurements and BF% aren't going down either.
Plus, I'm still all jiggly.

Jiggly can be a good thing... in the right places.

Lol! The jiggle I have that I hate the most is my triceps. What sucks is
that I can actually feel the muscles there getting firmer and stronger, but
they still have this layer of fat dangling down. Ah well, it'll go away.
Eventually. I hope.

I don't think so. Wouldn't that be "carving"? "Sculpting" is done with a
hammer and chisel, and would probably require rock-hard muscle. Whaddya
say, JC?

Pardon me for trying to give someone a little bit of advice. I workout
every day using the Firm system. The ladies on these videos would blow you
fat heads out of the water. Yes muscle is denser then fat. Sculpt means to
shape and tone you idiot. You can lift as much weight as you want and tone
the muscle mass underneath the fat, but if you don't do the proper amount of
cardio exercise and watch food intake with the toning, you will never see
the muscle definition under the fat. I was just trying to help Luna with
her problem. I will never offer my help to anyone else on this board. Some
support system you are.

I suggest if you don't know what you are speaking of, to just shut up!

Lori, just For Your Information, it is impossible to gain muscle
quickly, especially for females. An ounce a day is the most that the
most genetically gifted men can accompish.

Sculpt means to
shape and tone you idiot.

your muscles either grow bigger, stay same, or they get smaller.

Shape and tone are deceiving words that mean, more or less, nothing.

Muscles become more visible when either they get bigger, or, the layer
of fat covering them gets smaller.

I could be wrong here, but I think I remember reading somewhere that
different types of exercise will give you differently shaped muscles. Like
the differences between swimmers' legs and soccer players' legs, for
example.
