guards mostly turn a blind eye to and a recognition
that their 'life' is pretty obscene even without that.

It would be interesting to compare the suicide rates
in the more enlightened western european jails.

On the other hand the suicide rate in the absolute
worst of the jail systems like in SE asia with the
western druggys that end up in them isnt that high for
some reason. No idea what the sexual activity is like,
but the guards clearly dont do much to stop suicide.

One interesting doco on one of the south american jails,
forget which country, Columbia or somewhere. The crims
get to have their family move in with them there and run
one hell of a system of real estate property inside the jail.

One of our complete arseholes murdered a number of kids,
only got caught because he stuffed up his attempted suicide.

stop him from killing himself in jail. He did eventually manage to
pull it off, after millions of bucks had been ****ed against the wall.

Not necessarily. We have seen some examples where
one of the relatives has tried it, got that response, and
raised one hell of a stink in the media about it, and that
hasnt seen any change in the response at all. Just a
spelling out that that is all they can do legally.

As long you are arent completely barking mad with very
visible symptoms of being barking mad, you're legally
welcome to tell anyone who trys to interfer like that to
take a long run off a short pier. And that includes
situations where that will almost certainly produce
death within a short time, hours or days, not just years.

Have you picked up the phone and given it a try (getting

you are handicapt you don't have to eat very much at all to still put on
