Default calories in stuff

i have a tin of peas in front of me. it says4.7g protien, 1 g fat, 8.2 g
carbos

yet its an 85 g tin with 65 calories total.....
where do all the calories come from?
or does the above grams add up to 65 cal???

4.7 * 4 + 1 * 9 + 8.2 * 4 = 61 calories. Assuming they were rounding a bit
on the fat yes, it does easily add up to 65 calories.

4.7 * 4 + 1 * 9 + 8.2 * 4 = 61 calories. Assuming they were rounding a bit

If you're wondering why 4.7 + 1 + 8.2 adds up to 13.9g, which is a big
difference from the 85g in the tin, that's because most of the weight
comes from water. (This is true of most foods, not just tinned peas
:-) .)
