Default Halloween is coming... what will YOU do?

Already did it. My 3 year old wanted pretzels and I bought a BIG jar (Sam's
Club) of small bags of Halloween pretzels shaped like bats and
pumpkins...and put them in the pantry. When I think of them (seldom) I get
one bag out for her. She loves them but I can live without them since I
can't enjoy a cold beer with 'em anymore

People actually eat candy corn? Blargh.

God, my Dad loves it. This time of year it's in all my folks' candy
dishes, and a bag in the garage (even though my mother hates it)! I
must confess, that if there were a low carb candy corn, there'd be
some in this house too. But, to the best of my knowledge, there
isn't, so my innards are safe. What I have to watch is my DH bringing
home a garbage sack sized bag of candy ostensibily for trick or
treaters. (Yeah, right.) In our old neighborhood, we needed that
much candy, and more (buckets of kids), now we get three. All we need
is a five ounce bag, and we'll be fine. That reminds me, I need to
remind him not to buy the
jumbo-baggo-ramma-economy-size-bag-o-sugarbombs.

Stick a sign on the gate and not answer the door, same as always.

I'll hang lights and put my enormous fake rat next to the door and
fill a bowl with really good candy and pass it out to kids in wacky
costumes.

I won't buy the "fun size" Snickers though. I can resist anything but
the Snickers.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy it. I do so hate recommending movies and then
having people hate them. It's a little like being a weatherman, I
think -- it's not really my fault, but they blame me anyway. :-)

Gross, both of you, I don't get it. That stuff is nasty. I always

traded
all that gross stuff like candy corn and "gummi" anything to my sister

for
all her chocolate. Mmmm . . . chocolate.

Me too because I traditionally bake cinnamon rolls for friends and usually
lose it while they are baking then it's all over but the crying!

Definitely not a temptation for me. I never really liked the stuff
before. Christmas is really a much scarier holiday for me.

Default Halloween is coming... what will YOU do?

After spending 1000+ dollars on my oldest son's teeth this past summer candy
has become one of those thing that the kids have to sneak. I was thinking
of asking our dentist to help me get toothbrushes wholesale to pass out. Oh
boy wouldn't you be one mad kid to get a toothbrush in your sack, haha, but
then again it may prompt the parents to think about what is going on there.
1 kid down 2 to go and candy is forever banished!
