REC: Hot Anise Milk (3 carbs)
I recently bought a carton of Carb Countdown low-carb "dairy beverage."
I found it very sweet. Too much Splenda or my tastes have already changed that much? Anyway, the sweet milk reminded me of this yummy drink. This is a lovely bedtime or winter beverage that was shared with me by a cyber friend in the Netherlands, but has seen an adjustment in the interest of lower-carbdome. The original used regular milk and some sugar. My adaptation does not. * Exported from MasterCook * Hot Anise Milk Recipe By amsel in dis Dress Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : beverages low-carb Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 8 ounces Carb Countdown 2% Dairy Beverage 1 drop anise extract Combine ingredients and heat through, either on the stove or the microwave. Add Splenda to taste, if desired. Yes, for years I haven't been much of a milk drinker, but I really like
Hood's. Got some of the Blue Bunny yogurt this week too, and like it as well.
