They are falling off! I'm in clothes already I havent worn for a long
time like 3x and 26/28, some 24's instead of 4X and 30/32. I am using
some of the 4X shirts as nightshirts now. I have a bag full of clothes
to take to the WLS support group in town here next tuesady. The good
stuff is going on Ebay. Im also throwing Roamans and Lane Bryant
catalogs away already. I am saving my biggest shirt though to show off
"that was then this is now" LOL!!!!

===================================
Just think of all those NEW styles out now you can buy! You'll need to buy
a whole new wardrobe. When I reached 165 I had to buy all new clothes
(dropped 2 sizes). I bought hip-huggers, skorts, new blouses and T-shirts!
What a thrill. I even bought some perfume and Panama Jack jewelry. I felt
like a new person. You are going to be so happy.... ))) Just browse the
isles of some of the stores and see the wonderful things you'll soon be
wearing.

I think about it all the time. My husband has been so sweet he has been
buying me $50 gift cards to Fashion Bug. They are good for 2 years. I
have $150 worth saved in my wallet already for when I need something
new. He told me on Valentines Day he thought I might like to start
collecting "these" since I am a collector. How sweet huh???

I was concerned about using narcotics. Like I said I hate pills. I
started taking the half Vicodin when the pain got unbearable. I had 3
left from my surgery in 2002! A few weeks ago it was the middle of the
night and I had already tried Tylenol, here I was rummaging through
cupboards thinking " I know I have a couple Vicodin around here, I felt
like Cher in Mask looking through her house for a fix" When I told him
they were gone and that nothing else had worked, he asked me if I
wanted more. He gave me 20 more with no refill. I first asked if I can
become addicted with 1/2 a pill each night? He said " No Way, you would
have to take way more, more often, for a longer period of time". He said
"You're not abusing it either so dont worry" He said "drug abuse is
taking medicine when you're not in pain and taking this kind of
medicine when you ARE NOT in pain goes right to the pleasure center of
the brain, but when you are in pain it goes to the pain receptors and
causing some sort of blockage so you dont feel the pain. Interesting. I
love my doctor! He is part of the Virginia Mason Of Seattle Washington.
We have a satellite branch here. He is a busy man but he never fails to
send me away without all questions answered no matter how long it
takes. Its no wonder he runs behind. I never get mad at waiting because
if I need the time he goes over with me too. Its small town service but
big city knowledge, medicine and diagnotics.

the edge off. I'm a lightweight and do not take pills. I hate

I have prided myself on never being changed to prescription drugs.

Last
night I took it and was up at 1am. I ended up finishing the night

off
in the recliner with a pillow under my knee. When it is slightly

bent
it feels better.

Ah! Maybe a leg-wedge pillow will help...my mother-in-law has
arthritis in her knees and she uses that, too.

Obviously, you are needing the Vicodin right now, and your doctor is
working with you on ways to find less toxic/addictive means of pain
relief, which is great. I think we all worry about your having to

take
Vicodin on a tiny stomach ( ) but sounds like you and your doctor
are working on it.

Let's hope, too, that your weight loss will help with the pain...I

bet
it will!

Good luck.

I didnt quite understand what free weights were but I guess I will find
out. I dont quite get how building up my quads with free weights helps
the knee. Isnt it going to kill me using the knee? Im in for a surprise
I'm sure LOL! What the hell I'm game!!! I'm ignorant about weight
training and resistant training of this caliber. I did do Curves at one
time but found it incredibly easy and I never really worked a sweat. My
doc is like 55 years old, he walks all over the place and rides his
bike for miles each morning to go to the hospital to make rounds then
peddles to work afterwards. Hes done it for as long as I can remember.
I used to work with him at the hospital.

| Right on Roger! It's suppose to go like this. I am expected to be down
| 22% of my beginning body weight by the three month day and 10 days
| period of time. I have 38 more pounds to lose before my 90 days of
| puree is up on May 5th. By cracky, I think I'm gonna make it. Then when
| the puree period is over I get to start eating small amounts of regular
| food and he expects another 80 plus pounds minimum to come off in 12 to
| 15 months there after. He told me my total window of opportunity is 15

Hmmm,

Then if I calculate correctly. by the time I come to visit you and Larry in
summer or fall 2006, you should be down to around 210 pounds. Wow!

I know huh!!! Holy Crap! I cant wait. I'll be able to go anywhere with
you. Peter I can exceed that and get there faster I hope. If my knee
gives me a rest, walking and weight training should help it reel off. I
want to bail the belly so bad! LOL!!!
Thanks

Thanks. I sweat when my heart rate is at target so I assumed I needed
to sweat but not with weight training?

Don't think in terms of sweat in regards to working out. If you get
sufficient cooling, you won't even notice sweat as the moving air will take
it away from your body, and you'll be able to workout even better (harder,
etc.). A lot of sweat typically means you have improper cooling. Frankly,
I don't think that would be good for you. Overheating is not good.

Now, I'm not saying there won't be sweat. I'm just saying you don't need to
be dripping in sweat to have a good, productive workout. Moreso with
weights.
