Average weekly weight loss?
With exercise and 1700 cals/day I'm wanting to set a goal of 2.5 lbs / week.
I realize this may be unrealistic. I'd appreciate it if any successful, long-term losers would chime in with how their weekly weight loss goal coincided with actual realized loss. Thanks, Mike WOE since 2/23/04 252/235/160-ish 5'6" |

The fewer calories from carbs, the more you'll lose.

Also, keep your carb level too low and you run the risk of dropping your leptin output to almost nothing. Leptin seems to be key to fat loss. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...F-8&q=freyburg er+leptin&meta=group%3DALT.SUPPORT.DIET.LOW-CARB -- revek Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are *******s'. - Rincewind Expaining Twoflower, Terry Pratchett, The Color Of Magic |

Yes, it does when I do everything right. Control eating, weight train, and do lots of cardio. I suggest you shoot for 1.5 lbs / week. You'll be happier and you'll feel successful. :: :: Thanks, :: :: Mike :: :: WOE since 2/23/04 :: 252/235/160-ish :: 5'6" |
