I've tried that in the past and will again in the future. Nice to have something you can open up and it only goes for 220 calories. Yours, Caleb |

Nice to have something you can open up and it only goes for 220 calories. I have had soup (a whole can) for dinner twice a week since I started my diet in October. It's filling and satisfying, especailly on these blustery days. I DO limit it to broth-based, so the info on this Clam Chowder is appreciated. What other soups are on your list? I'm thinking of getting a variety of soups and having one for each evening of the week, so I don't have to think about what I'm having for dinner. Also, do you use vegetable fillers in your soups, like cabbage? Yours, Caleb |

"Caleb" wrote What other soups are on your list? Progresso, mostly--any of the chicken broth based, like Chicken Rotini (only 200 calories for the whole can), or the "vegetable classics", with my favorite being Lentil, as it's savory and loaded with fiber. Also, do you use vegetable fillers in your soups, like cabbage? Fresh spinach, and lots of it. I'm a blood platelets donor and I've found the addition of (almost daily) spinach to my diet keeps my iron level maintained. Besides, it tastes good. -- XXXXXXgizzieXXXXXX ************************************************** ***************** "...and the last time you had a formal exercise program was how long ago??" I can no longer donate blood but I sure wish I could Absolutely super! I alterted to my far better half tonight about an advertisement for fiber, sprinkled in the food. I really like spinach and think I might chuck it in to my food. Progresso is now on my "to buy" list! Yours truly, Caleb |

Healthy Choice: New England Clam Chowder
Hi Mrs. Wintertime,
I'm from Georgia. I didn't think that was bad for Clam Chowder either. I love it, and I thought that I would have to give up a ton of calories to have it. As a matter of fact I believe I'll have some now. LOL Nice to meet you. "MRS WINTERTIME" wrote in message ...
