Default Way too popular diet

I just spent the last hour going to five different stores in my town,
including WalMart and 2 health food stores, trying to find LC vanilla whey
protein.

None in stock anywhere (other than one for $66 which is way too high for
me)

All the shopkeepers say they can't keep it in stock anymore.

Gotta be the LC way of life.

Guess I gotta premake something for breakfast tomorrow as I am totally out
and have been relying on my protein shake every morning. GRRRR!

I agree Brenda! Just tonight there was a shelf unit at the grocery
store that had signs advertising "lo carb" arnold's bread.......the
whole thing was empty but one lonely loaf (9 grams of net carbs per
slice, I passed on it today as I am trying to stay to 25 grams a day
or less) of Italian sliced. I will try it sometime though on occasion.

Nice to see different companies catching on. Anyone see the Miller
Light commercial? Too bad they waited till Mich Ultra started grabbing
a little bit of market!

Hi Brenda,
I was wondering about the whey protein vs plain protein powder. Does
it taste different? Is it less carbs than plain? I made my first
protein shake today. I used NRG protein vanilla powder ($19.00) with
unsweetened soy milk, and 5 strawberries. By the time I added the
carbs for my coffee, my morning count was 10.1. This seems way too
high to have every day. I usually do not go over 4 or 5 carbs for the
morning. Any info would be appreciated Thanks, Jeano

Sorry Brenda, can't help you out with the whey product, but what do
you put in your protein shake? Just curious...

Thanks,
Kathy

Hi Kathy, sorry I took so long to answer. I've been helping a friend seed
their front yard and even my fingers are too sore to type.

Anyway, I use 2 scoops of vanilla whey powder (2 carbs), 3 ish ice cubes,
about 8-10oz of water, 1tbsp whipping cream and then either some frozen
berries or a dollops of Atkins raspberry syrup. Whip until frothy in a
blender.

I have it every weekday morning and it holds me quite nicely until lunch.
