Going away on a holiday
Dear All,
We're leaving later today for our holiday (Adriatic - Dalmatian islands), and I still have some last minute packing to do. I won't be having a computer access, but I just packed my food log so that I can write down what I ate & drank. My plans for this holiday: - I'm not planning to have a very relaxed attitude towards eating (that would be my downfall), but - if I do try something that's "local" or "new", I plan to split portions. I like splitting portions - I don't feel deprived yet stay within my carb budget; - I will up the allowed carb intake to 50 grams of carbs/day - I expect I will be more active physically, so I think that +10 grams of carbs won't affect me much (I haven't been able to bring the average carb intake down to 40 grams/day this last week, anyway) - I will not nibble and I will stay away from unhealthy snacks; - I will drink plenty of water; - I will write down daily what's been going on food- and exercise-wise. As for the WEEK 5 UPDATE: weight: 84 kg (cca 184.8 lbs), which means that: - I lost 1 kg in a week (cca 2.2 lbs), & - I lost 5 kg in 5 weeks (cca 11 lbs) - I reached my lower mini-goal :-)) Measurements: - chest: 102 cm (lost 5 cm altogether) - waist: 83 cm (lost 1 cm / lost 5 cm altogether) - belly button: 93 cm (lost 10.5 cm altogether) - hips: 115 cm (lost 3 cm altogether) - thigh: 61.5 cm (lost 0.5 cm / lost 2.5 cm altogether) - calf: 39 cm (lost 2 cm altogether). According to Fitday, the average daily carb intake for week 5 was = 64 grams* (total 1197 calories) (* 24 grams of carbs higher than recommended) According to Fitday, the average number of calories burned daily was = 221 calories/day. BMI = 33.1 / 31.3 (down 0.4% from last week, & 1.8% altogether) BF% = 31.1 / 28% (*up* 2.2% from last week, & down 3.1% altogether) *I know now why the number is higher - it depends on the level of activity/week. Exercise during the week 5: - walking: 3.6 days/6 New mini-goal: 79 to 78 kg (cca 173.8 to 171.6 lbs) by October 11th (DD has her 1st birthday the following day!), so I'm hoping to lose 5-6 kg in cca 7 weeks. That's it. See you all next Sunday :-) Elly breastfeeding mom of a 10mo, following the balanced low carb WOE Mid July 2004: 195.8 / 184.8 / mini-goal by October 11th: 173.8 to 171.6 lbs sometime in the (distant) futu 150 lbs |
