Default Yesterday was the day.

I reached the goal I started the middle of last April.
I weighed 275 pounds then (6 ft tall) and this 72 year old dude had blood
pressure out of sight. And I had been taking a dollar a day pill for 18
months ($500+/-), and still had the terrible b/p.
Yesterday, Oct 23rd, I weighed 185 pounds.
The least since 1966 when I was ironworking on MinuteMen II missles and ate,
and mostly drank, everything I could get my hands on. And the same as Army
Basic Training where I went from 235 to 185 in 5 weeks.
Today I was 184.6 and I intend to start eating more. Not like I used to but
the better foods I can now have more of.
Thank God for the points system.
Last five months I have been working my butt of and usually eat out my one
meal a day. MacDonalds has a side salad (I get two and bring my own fat
free dressing and 1 point per 3/ crackers). I also get 2 of their smallest
burgers, no salt, no sauce, only lettuce, pickles, onion, and the bun, and I
add a Hot Picante sauce on that with alot of pepper. Burgers are extremely
small patties, and I have been losing weight on this regime.
But I have been married to a pick and shovel all summer.
I shovel loaded, carted on my trailer, and then emptied 138 - 5 gallon
buckets of black dirt off my parents cemetery plot prior to having it
contract concreted. Prior to the contractor I hand shoveled and again
unloaded 48 5 gallon buckets of fill to compact the plot.
And I mixed and poured 25- 60 pound sacks of redi-mix concrete last week for
my garage project. Previously I also shoveled and then unloaded, by shovel,
16 yards of dirt from my garage and mucho concrete as I'm lowering the floor
24 inches so it has room for the overhead door I just bought. Still have 11
yards to remove from my garage later and a piece (4'x10'x 3.5 inches) of
concrete flooring to get out.
I can't believe what a difference the weight loss makes. My blood pressure
was 100/50 last Aug during my semi-annual physical. And passed every
single test and exam perfectly.
Again, thank God for the system.
