support group ideas

I'm wanting to start a support/network group in my town and have seen a few
posts that perhaps these exist in other places. Would anyone be willing to
share some of their ideas or things they cover in their meetings? Anything
will be helpful. Thanks!!

I run a women's weight loss support group through the YMCA where I
work. The focus for the group is to primarily promote weight loss
through increased fitness and then by supporting individual efforts on
eating plans.

The biggest suggestion I can make (and my biggest downfall with the
group) is promoting the meetings -- putting up fliers, picking topics
people are interested in etc.

Since I'm a trainer and not a nutritionist, they won't allow me to
prescribe any eating plan. What I can do is tell people what my
experience has been and suggest they try to objectively experiment
with any plan they chose.
