Puzzling
I try and keep to a reasonably low GI diet, so sweet type foods need to be selected with care. So imagine my surprise when I stumble across this in a GI database:- Nutella Chocolate Hazelnut Spread: GI - 30, GL - 3.8 I *love* Nutella - I'm just more than a little surprised that it has a GI less than Apples, Bananas or other "sweet" fruits. Weird! Knowing my luck, it's stuffed full of Hydrogenated Fat - my other "avoid at all costs" food... -- Succorso |

Not really -- a 2 tablespoon serving has 11g of fat (about half its 199 calories) but only 2g of saturated fat. But it is a pretty significant source of calories :-). Chris |
