Default Treadmill workout/scenery dvd/vhs suggestions???

Hey all, quick question, figured many here
probably walk or work out in the home (especially
during the winter), and I too walk at home on the
treadmill but was wondering if there are any good
DVD or vhs tapes that walk you thru some scenic
area or a fun or motivating workout?

I used to listen to music while walking on the
treadmill, then that turned to watching music DVDs
(high energy type like Shania Twain Live etc etc)
and
now I am just in a rut so to speak on what to
listen to or watch while walking, I have tried
reading but its hard for me to keep pace and read
(dunno how my wife does it) hehe.

Anyways was hoping maybe some of you had tried
some different treadmill workout or scenery type
vids or DVDs and if so which ones do you enjoy or
not enjoy...

Still waiting for my "official" move to Michigan
(any day now) and once I am there I am gonna look
up WW meetings in that area and probably join up
and see if the points system and the meetings and
support also help me to add to my current efforts
to reduce my weight (which so far so good and
they are working) yet WW has some great supporters
and great success stories so I figure I can't go
wrong to add a bit of that to my personal plan too
cuz I bet if I do that I will even have more
success and more education of how to KEEP it off!

Thanks for any suggestions,

Bill

Sorry Bill, wish I could help you but I haven't even looked for any dvd's like
that. I have set a dvd player up by my treadmill, but purchase television series
dvd's and watch those when walking. For me it has worked great - keeps me from
getting bored too quickly, and enjoy watching episodes undisturbed (for a change).
I hope someone comes along and can give you some ideas.

I got one suggestion I had not thought of from my
wife, we are ALWAYS at the library for my
daughter doing storytime or just getting a book or
two, she mentioned why not use the librarys
extensive vhs and dvd section, just pick a movie
or two that I have not seen and use it while on
the treadmill, that way too if i want to keep
watching the movie I have to keep walking hehe...

I also found these
http://www.workoutmusicvideo.com/treadvideos.html
but dunno if they would be worth getting actually,
might try one and go from there
Hawaii sounds good right about now (its cold and
the outside grass is still dead here),

Thanks for the replies tho,

Bill

Can't help you with the treadmill/exercise question as I don't have a
treadmill, but wanted to welcome you to the group.

Yeah I actually did think of that too (audio
books), I used to listen to them on the
train on my way to work to just help eliminate the
boredom of daily commuting...

Thanks for the thoughts and input everyone, just
doing my best to try and keep my
program going , not too long from now it will be
nicer out and I can go run around the
park or take my little one out for a bike ride in
her trailer as an alternative or add-on to
my current workouts.

I have read about a video tracing the entire trail up Mt Whitney. It
is the highest peak in the lower 48 states and folks who've seen the
video have said it is pretty interesting altho, the music is
omnipresent. It filmed the entire trail, all 11 miles up, I guess.

I hiked it this past summer - a great adventure. Wonderful scenery.

It is available on ebay, but don't have any reference number.

Darn it, Bill.

Mt Whitney video

I went looking, the last one was up for grabs and I GRABBED it! (G)
But from what I have read elsewhere, he periodically makes more
copies. Folks have been asking him to convert it to dvd but that has
not yet happened. He has some of hiking the Grand Canyon, too. I
have not read about those.

(you also forced me to refigure out very limited paypal account stuff
- I only fund each transaction and there was only one!!! (G))
