mixing carbs and proteins
Two people in as many days have said they are doing "wise carbs" i.e. not
mixing carbs and protein. Is it based on "Fit for Life" What does it accomplish? tia. |

"Todd" none writes: Two people in as many days have said they are doing "wise carbs" i.e. not mixing carbs and protein. What a silly idea. Mixing these is an important factor in muscle growth for body builders. Perhaps they said to not mix carbs and fat? The last thing you want is insulin spikes in the presence of dietary fat. Mixing carbs and protein tends to slow down the digestion of the carbs and thus promotes more stable blood sugar. For this group, that's a good thing (except for the carbs part |
