Red wine
Because of my heart concerns (being addressed currently in the CRP
thread on this newsgroup), I would like to have the occasional glass of non-sweet red wine. I wonder how many of you indulge in wine while still losing weight on a low-carb regimen. Is it totally counterproductive to have that glass of merlot or burgundy? I am not inclined at all to drink wine every night (disrupts my sleep), but on Fridays or special occasions, it would be nice. - Anne |

Now, my boyfriend and I drink quite a few bottles of wine each month. I have an occasional cocktail but am mindful of the mixer, i.e. diet soda, club soda, water. Brenda 135/108 |

The drier varietes are usually also lower in carb. I drink several glasses
of Cabernet Sauvignon per week. Don't tell anyone, but I actually like Peter Viella boxed Cab Sauv Enjoy in moderation!!! "Anne" wrote in message ... Red wine
My wife and I drink anywhere from half a bottle to a bottle, about 5
days/week. I have never traced a stall to wine consumption. I tend to prefer dry Gamay or Pinot Noir. Duffy "cheesegator" wrote in message ... The drier varietes are usually also lower in carb. I started having 4 oz of Merlot at bedtime (I drink it cold because I really don't like the taste of red wine) I noticed no change in the rate of weight loss. However a big improvement in the quality of my sleeping and the subsequent reduction in tension in my daily life. Your actually mileage may vary. Garth 310/264/195 |

Well, I had a glass and a half of Merlot at supper tonight. (That was plenty.)
Thanks for your feedback on this. My gut was that it would be OK to have a glass of dry red wine now and then. I think I'll make it a Friday-night tradition. Something to look forward to at the end of the week. - Anne |

I have gone from a weight of 234 in April to 202 now. I am satisfied with my progress. |

That's very interesting. I probably won't do it every night, but one or two glasses on the weekend sounds good. Best, Anne |

lower.. Peter Vella Cabernet Sauvignon 04 oz 04.40 gms Bob Skilnik www.drinkbeergetthindiet.com Carb Counts of 275 Wines & 575 Beers "cheesegator" wrote in message ...
