Default Induction and Sugar

Hello All.
I have just started in Atkins last Monday. I do have one question that I
can't seem to find an answer to. How important is it to avoid ALL sugar
during induction? For example, I can not find bacon that is not sugar cured
(even talked to a couple butchers). Also, before starting Atkins I found a
turkey sausage stick (Piller's) that I liked (quite tasty, not greasy, and
only 1/2 g carb each), but it does have some sugar in it. It can't be much
as it is about 3/4 of the way down the ingredient list. I think that the
Atkin's book refers to these as hidden sugar. Is this right? Should I avoid
things like these? Is there some guideline to say what would count as (too
much) sugar in a product?

Strictly speaking, you're supposed to avoid that stuff. My experience is
that as long as you're losing and aren't having problems such as
increased hunger or blood sugar rebounds, I wouldn't sweat it.
