How to acquire a "rugged look"?

If her political viewpoint, as long as it isn't rabid or extremist for either side, is your biggest obstacle, you're golden. Best of luck. I agree- just from my *own* personal experience, I can say that it can work as long as you two aren't too far apart on the political scale. The simple & sad fact is, if you two are a little too far apart, especially in these later days of political division and extreme partisanship in politics, you'll be trying to build a house on a cracked foundation. Only religion rivals politics as a hot button topic; if you aren't in too much disagreement there will not be too many conflicts, but as I said before, the simple & sad fact is, there is just too much emotional content and connection to your inner nature with political ideas, and even the most serene of environments can suddenly turn into a category 5 tornado when "just the right issue" is discussed. Perhaps you can agree ahead of time to dismiss *all* political discussion, but best of luck on THAT idea... just think of all the day-to-day issues that you will randomly encounter in a typical date that can spur a political discussion... even by accident. The man on the street corner holding up a sign saying "will work for food"; How much to tip the waiter; a tax you have to pay on the gasoline you buy at the local store, or a pack of cigarettes.... etc. Then again, I think to myself- "i'm a man. If the chick is REALLY hot, I can certainly shut my mouth up long enough and choke down enough pride to make it work...." ;-) Clint -- ------ Time is the fire in which we burn..... ---------- |
